How do the light gun video games work?
I was especially wondering how the hardware detects where the point on the screen is when only the TV is connected to the console via an RF cable? Is there a camera in the gun or does the point of light that hits the screen transmitted back through the TV RF cable to the hardware?
Originally it was a photocell in the gun. (The barrel had to be long enough to block out all but the desired trigger light.) Modern games may well have a camera and recognition software.

Sunglasses are a form of protective eyewear that helps protect the pupils of the eyes in very bright sunlight.
Sunglasses are used to block the glare from objects which the sun reflects off of. The reflection can damage your eyes just as much and in some cases worse than the brightness of the sun itself, other than looking straight into the sun. However, the brightness of the sun is not the only way that can damage a person’s eyes.
The sun also projects ultra violet light which can also be damaging. When a person stays in the sunlight too long these UV rays can cause burnt eyes; this term is used when the eyes become irritated and blood shot. The eyes will also become very tired and make a person feel sleepy. People also will rub their hands in their eyes. This is a very bad thing to do, as no matter how clean a person’s hands are they still have germs on them. Together with the UV rays this can cause photokeratisis, pterygia, macular degeneration, or pingueculae, any of which can lead to some temporary loss of vision, or more often blurred vision.
Ultra violet rays are classified in three categories. The UVC rays are the highest energy levels which can damage a person’s eyes. Although the Ozone layer blocks most of these rays out, there are still enough of them which still get through the atmosphere and damage your eyes. The second category is the UVB rays. These rays are the ones which help people to get a tan; these rays cause the skin to darken and can be strong enough to give some people sunburn. Researchers have discovered that over exposure to these UVB rays can cause skin cancer. They also cause wrinkling of the skin, especially around the eyes and neck areas. The last category is the UVA rays, which have a low energy, and are closer to the visible light rays. These rays are the one’s which can cause cataracts and macular degeneration. The light passes though the person’s cornea and the Lens All the way to the retina of the eye.
The UV rays which are harmful to a person’s eyes depends on many factors; such as the time of day, the location a person is in, and the altitude, because the UV levels are much greater at high levels. The only way to get the best protection for your eyes is to wear Sunglasses, or anywhere that you spend a lot of time in the sun.
In the United Kingdom, sunglasses are rated differently than they are in other counties. Almost every country rates men’s Sunglasses as the ratings are set by each government. Question about my sony super steady shot digital camera.?
I have a hard time getting my sony super steady shot digital camera to take pictures. When I push the button it beeps at me. I have to push the button a few times before it will take the picture. Is there a setting that I can put it on to where it will take pictures faster?
Most Digital Cameras these days have a “two step” process to taking pictures: 1) autofocus 2) exposure. So, in order to carry out this process, you should half-press the shutter button until it beeps (this mean it has achieved autofocus properly), then press it to take the picture. If you just mash the button, then the camera probably won’t focus properly, and that’s why you get the beep. Press the button halfway until it beeps, and then press it the rest of the way to take the picture.
The only way to get around this delay is to get something like a Digital Slr, which has little or no shutter delay. Shutter delay (or “lag”) is one of the biggest problems point and shoots face today.

I’m getting a PS3 pretty soon, and I’ve heard that the hi-def experience is awesome. So which of those types of tv’s is best for it?
It depends… if your tv size is under 40″ then LCD is best. If it’s over 40″ then I would recommend plasma or LED.
